The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore provides the complete spectrum of leading-edge, non-surgical diagnostic and treatment options. We treat patients of all ages on both an inpatient and outpatient basis—from newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to geriatrics.

Once under our care, we perform a comprehensive initial examination that will serve as the foundation for your customized treatment plan. Then, with your ongoing input and participation, our team of physicians, specialist and medical experts provide a complete spectrum of cutting-edge, non-surgical diagnostic and treatment options.

A Multidisciplinary, Patient-Centered Approach

We also coordinate care within an interdisciplinary team that includes Physical and occupational therapists, rehabilitation nurses, social workers and speech/language pathologists. We also work closely with numerous other specialists throughout the Montefiore system, including surgeons, radiologists, pediatricians and primary care physicians.
