The Head and Neck Cancer Program at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center

Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center’s large clinical trial portfolio enables us to give head and neck cancer patients access to the newest treatments approaches, based on the most recent research findings.

 Current research includes investigating:

Clinical Research

• The benefits of robotic surgery to remove cancers of the throat and voice box
• The use of minimally invasive transoral surgery (entering through the mouth rather than cutting open the neck or jaw) in the treatment of HPV (human papilloma virus) related cancers

Translational Research

• Investigation of molecular biomarkers for personalized cancer treatment
• Advanced methods to identify tumors if they return or spread
• New treatment options for patients with recurrent or metastatic tumors

Basic Research

• Multiplatform analysis of prognostic markers for head and neck cancer
