Take the Diagnostic and Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency & Fellowship Programs Virtual Tour

See why so many applicants choose Montefiore-Einstein

The Department of Radiology both encourages and facilitates research by residents. Research training is offered as an integrated part of the curriculum. Residents are sponsored for various training programs offered by national societies. Presenting residents are routinely given time off and travel stipends to attend scientific conferences.

Resident involvement in research is facilitated in the following ways:

  • Dedicated research blocks in the second- and third-year curriculum
  • Fourth-year research electives, including up to six months as part of a dedicated research track
  • Opportunities to participate in research at the Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center
  • Statistical support, including on-site statistician consultation, and support through the Division of Biostatistics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
  • “Works-in-Progress” Meeting – Monthly meeting features mentored feedback, guidance and training in applied research methodology from faculty, a departmental research mentor and program directors
  • Annual Department Research Day (with cash prizes for top presentations)
  • Funded travel to conferences at which original research is presented
  • RSNA Resident Research Prize

Our residents have produced an impressive list of scholarly publications, presentations and book chapters.
