Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program

It is our mission to create a Podiatric Residency training program at Montefiore that adheres to the high standards of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and that meets the challenges of a changing academic and educational environment.

A well-trained podiatric surgeon should have a firm knowledge base, be technically capable, have excellent clinical skills, be able to communicate in an effective manner and be ethically sound.

Montefiore is the 2nd largest teaching hospital in U.S. with a large diversified urban population for reconstructive surgery; forefoot and rearfooot; trauma surgery; diabetic limb salvage and wound care. We graduate five residents per year.
