NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS HONORS MONTEFIORE PHYSICIAN
Dr. Jason Adelman named 2012 Physician of the Year
New York City, NY (October 8, 2012) -- Jason Adelman, MD, MS, Director of Patient Safety at Montefiore Medical Center, has been selected as the 2012 Physician of the Year by the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA), which represents the Physician Assistant profession throughout the state.
“We are pleased to present this award to Dr. Adelman for his inspiration, service and integrity,” said Peter Kummel, MS, RPA-C, President of NYSSPA.
“I am honored to be recognized by NYSSPA,” said Dr. Adelman. “This prestigious organization has served the interests of the Physician Assistant profession for more than 30 years. “
He will receive his award at NYSSPA’s Gala Dinner on Saturday, October 20 during the organization’s annual conference in Tarrytown.
Dr. Adelman has been Director of Patient Safety at Montefiore since 2003. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and received his NPSF-AHA Fellowship in Patient Safety Leadership. He received his MD degree from the Sackler School of Medicine and MS from the Clinical Research Training Program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
