About Us

American Heart Month at Montefiore

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. However, you can take several simple steps to improve your cardiovascular health.

It’s why every February—officially designated as American Heart Month by the  American Heart Association—Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care makes an even greater effort to offer information, outreach and access to help the communities we serve take important steps toward  preventing heart disease.

In honor of American Heart Month, we sponsor a variety of events, screenings, healthy eating demonstrations, educational talks and workshops designed to promote heart-health awareness and education.

All events (including blood pressure screenings food demonstrations, festivals, and lectures) are free and open to the community, our patients and Montefiore employees. Use our calendar to find an educational event or screening specifically for your needs.
