Anna Flattau, MD, MSc, MS, provides primary care services as a family physician at the Family Health Center of Montefiore Medical Group. Dr. Flattau has particular interests in the management of complex chronic disease and in the role of primary care within an integrated delivery system. Dr. Flattau has clinical expertise in prevention and management of chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, and pressure ulcers: she was the founding director of Montefiore’s Wound Healing Program. Dr. Flattau’s prior experience also includes the development of a co-located primary care service within the Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation.

Dr. Flattau’s academic and administrative interests focus on integrating a population health perspective into the design of health services delivery, and on improving health services delivery for patients with complex health needs, such as those with chronic wounds or serious medical conditions.

Anna Flattau, MD, MSc, MS, is Vice Chair for Clinical Services and Director of Strategic Development in the Department of Family & Social Medicine.
Dr. Flattau received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed residency training at Columbia University Medical Center. She earned a master's degree in health promotion from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a master's degree in clinical research methodology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Flattau completed an executive education program at Harvard Business School in managing health care. She is the recipient of honors including a Fulbright Fellowship and the Pisacano Scholarship from the American Board of Family Medicine. She was appointed an innovation advisor to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
Prior to joining Montefiore as Vice Chair, Dr. Flattau was chief clinical officer of OneCity Health, where she provided physician leadership for clinical and care management initiatives under New York State's DSRIP program, and senior assistant vice president at NYC Health + Hospitals, the country's largest public hospital system. Previously, she worked at Montefiore as a family physician and as founder and director of the Wound Healing Program.
