Daniel BenjaminPopowitz, MD is a podiatrist at Montefiore specializing in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, bunions, hammertoes, sports injuries, foot and ankle trauma, diabetic foot disorders and limb salvage. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in New York where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Popowitz then completed three years of Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency at Montefiore.
Dr. Popowitz’sresearch focuses on the management of bunions and Achilles tendon care. Currently, he also serves as the Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also fluent in Hebrew.
