Montefiore Advanced Imaging

Montefiore Advanced Imaging at Gun Hill Road, formerly Gun Hill MRI, has expanded. The new 6,500 square foot state-of-the-art imaging center is equipped with two MRIs, including a GE 1.5 Tesla system, and the latest GE 3 Tesla MRI with an HDX platform. The Center also has Multidetector CT scanners, including a 64-slice scanner.

Staffed by two on-site radiologists and supported by other Montefiore radiologists offering subspecialty readings, our primary goal is to ensure that patients undergo quality, state-of-the-art imaging with prompt results. That is why our radiologists are available for personal one-on-one consultations over the phone or in person to help
you determine how best to image your patients. In addition, our technologists and physician assistants will help facilitate your patients’ imaging needs.

To further ease the imaging process, Montefiore offers all physicians access to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) as the exam is completed. PACS ensures that radiological exams made at Montefiore can be viewed remotely and securely by doctors. If needed, we can also provide you with a copy of the exam on CD.

As always, Montefiore strives to create a collaborative environment with our referring physicians. That is why we have a professional relations team that is dedicated to improving your access to Montefiore’s radiology services as well as
providing you with a forum to discuss your needs.

Members of the team may, from time to time, visit your office so as to provide you with personalized service and superior referral support.

Centralized Scheduling

We appreciate your referrals and we continuously strive to make the scheduling of your patients’ exams as easy as possible. You can now schedule your patients at Montefiore Advanced Imaging at Gun Hill Road through our Radiology Centralized Scheduling unit, which is staffed by personnel dedicated solely to radiology scheduling.

All of your scheduling needs for CT and MRI exams at the new center are handled by calling 1-866-MMC-XRAY (1-866-662-9729). We are committed to scheduling all patients promptly. More emergent cases can be scheduled by calling us directly at  718-798-5449.
