Unique opportunities abound in Clinical and Experimental Pathology at the Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Through our ongoing commitment to building a Department equipped for the future we have accomplished a great many things during the past five years, including:

• The Pathology Department and its 630 physicians, medical educators and staff members provide state of the art clinical service, promote significant research programs investigating the mechanisms of disease, and offer exceptional learning opportunities for students, residents, and faculty.
• Our clinical program provides outstanding care while fulfilling the needs of our referring doctors and their patients. We performed over 6.7 million tests in 2006.
• Our laboratories provide services to diverse settings throughout the Bronx and lower Westchester County including acute care academic medical centers, large medical groups, schools, shelters, nursing homes, hospices, emergency departments and solo practitioners.
