Department of Neurosurgery

The Department of Neurological Surgery of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine provides tertiary and quaternary care for patients with disorders of the nervous system that are amenable to neurosurgical management.

The Department’s clinical activities are divided between two institutions.  Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital of AECOM  is a large general hospital serving the central portion of the Borough of The Bronx in New York City.  The Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery (INN) at Roosevelt Hospital is a highly specialized facility within a large complex of hospitals in Manhattan. 

The Children's Hospital at Montefiore is the location for all pediatric neurosurgery .

Consultative and emergency coverage are also provided at the Weiler Campus of the Montefiore Medical Center.
