At Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, we’re setting the standard for the development and use of the latest technologies to treat cancer, like brachytherapy.
This type of advanced radiation therapy uses tiny radioactive seeds which doctors temporarily implant within or near a tumor to eliminate the cancerous cells.

Pioneers in Brachytherapy

The world-renowned radiation oncology specialists at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center helped develop early brachytherapy treatments. Through our research-based approach and involvement in clinical trials, we are continuing our leadership, improving brachytherapy treatments and establishing state-of-the-art protocols.

Clinical trials enable us to connect our patients to the latest advances in brachytherapy for various types of cancer, including gynecologic cancer, lung cancer and prostate cancer.
