Our talented workforce development training staff have strong backgrounds in training, curriculum development and LTC staff recruitment and retention programs, and are supported by experienced leadership and operations teams.

Scott Wetzler, PhD

Vice President for Behavioral Health Management at Montefiore, University Behavioral Associates, Montefiore Care Management Organization

Dr. Wetzler, a psychologist, is the senior executive responsible for the Montefiore WIO. He is responsible for contracting with the MLTCPs, heading the WIO operations team and overseeing all aspects of the program. He is also Vice Chairman and Chief of the Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Albert Einstein College of Medicine & Montefiore Medical Center.

Janet Kasoff, EdD, RN, NEA-BC, BC, CPHQ, CPHIMS

Senior Director, Care Management Learning and Innovation (CLI), Montefiore Care Management Organization (CMO)

As head of CMO’s CLI department, Dr. Kasoff is responsible for all of the training and evaluation activities of Montefiore WIO. She has held senior positions in nursing administration, care management and nursing informatics at Montefiore and other large health systems and has taught nurses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in several universities. She has a doctorate in education and holds certifications in nursing administration, informatics, health care quality and medical/surgical nursing.

David Bernstein

Senior Program Director, Workforce Initiatives, University Behavioral Associates, Montefiore Care Management Organization (CMO)

After a 20-year career in human resources management in multiple industries, Mr. Bernstein operated several government-funded workforce development programs before coming to Montefiore, where he has managed the multiple grant-funded programs that provide support to Long Term Care workers and Bronx residents, including Montefiore’s WIO its federally-funded Health Profession Opportunity Grant (HPOG) and State funded Workforce Development Initiative. He is the primary WIO liaison to agency partners in the long term care industry.
