Skincare and Quality of Life When Undergoing Radiation Therapy: What You Need to Know
- May 7, 2019
Dr. Beth McLellan, director, Supportive Oncodermatology, Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care, and assistant professor, Einstein, and Roya Nazarian, oncodermatology research fellow, Einstein, share their research on radiation dermatitis, a common side effect of radiation treatment that can cause itching, burning and pain to open or bleeding ulcers. We’re also investigating the use of an antibiotic ointment and body wash to prevent the development of radiation dermatitis in the first place.
