Treating the Whole Patient
At Montefiore Medical Center, we understand the emotional and psychological concerns that come with undergoing surgery for an ailment of the head and neck—these areas are vital to our personal identity, and to much of our day-to-day activities. Because of this, our expert surgeons strive to preserve maximum functioning, so our patients can resume their lives post-operation.
At the Division of Head and Neck Surgery, we treat the patient as a whole, taking into account their geographical distance from their treatment, the concerns of family members and friends and how much support a patient is receiving at home. We monitor each patient's progress closely and will make any adjustments needed to ensure their getting the best possible care both before and after surgery.
