Research

Research Centers and Laboratories

Clinical research resources are available at multiple sites across the health system. Resources include multidetector row computed tomography, high-field magnetic resonance imaging (at 1.5 T and 3.0 T), positron emission tomography-computed tomography, ultrasonography, nuclear imaging, digital radiography, and vascular and interventional radiology facilities. For information on how to initiate imaging-related research studies, please visit our collaborative research page.

Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center

The Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC) is a freestanding, research-dedicated imaging facility, located on our Albert Einstein College of Medicine campus. The MRRC provides state-of-the-art, high-field, clinical (3.0 T) and preclinical (9.4 T) magnetic resonance imaging of humans and small animals, as well as specimen imaging across a broad array of applications. Expert consultation on the implementation and execution of research imaging studies is available, as are services for the analysis of complex, quantitative research imaging datasets.

M. Donald Blaufox Laboratory for Molecular Imaging

The M. Donald Blaufox Laboratory for Molecular Imaging houses micro-positron emission tomography (PET) / single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) – anatomic computed tomography (CT) machines for small animal imaging. It provides consultation on the design of molecular imaging studies, their implementation and data analysis.

3-D Imaging Lab

The 3-D imaging lab is under development.
