Dr. Hsu practices diagnostic pediatric and adult neuroradiology and head and neck radiology. His clinical research has been in the development and utilization of advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques for the characterization, diagnosis, and treatment planning of head and neck tumors and brain tumors.
Kevin A. Hsu, MD is an Attending Physician in the Division of Neuroradiology, Department of Radiology at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since joining the Montefiore team in 2018, his clinical focus has included diagnostic neuroradiology, head and neck radiology, and pediatric neuroradiology.
In 2007, Dr. Hsu received his Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego and was also elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He subsequently received his Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Hsu went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Montefiore. He then went on to complete a two-year fellowship at Stanford University, specializing in Neuroradiology.
Dr. Hsu’s research interests include the development and utilization of advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques for the characterization, diagnosis, and treatment planning of head, neck, and brain tumors. His work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed articles and presented nationally.
In 2017, Dr. Hsu received the Radiologist in Training Award from the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology and in 2018 he received the Roentgen Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Hsu is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology, American Society of Functional Neuroradiology, and New York Roentgen Society. He serves on the education committee for the American Society of Neuroradiology and as the Chair of the Website and Social Media Committee for the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology.
He has been granted board certification in Diagnostic Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology.
