Biography:

Shlomit Goldberg-Stein, MD, is Director of Musculoskeletal Intervention and Medical Director of Advanced Imaging at Gun Hill MRI and Medical Director of the Medical Imaging Center. She is also an Associate Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Goldberg-Stein's clinical focus involves the use of x-rays, ultrasound, CT, and MRI to evaluate musculoskeletal conditions including joint infections, sports injuries, and bone and soft tissue tumors.

Dr. Goldberg-Stein received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Barnard College, Columbia University in 2000. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine in 2007 at Sound Shore Medical Center. From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Goldberg-Stein completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and clinical fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Goldberg-Stein’s research focus relates to causes of hip and foot pain and the efficacy of image-guided treatments. Additional areas of research interest include quality and performance improvement in Radiology. Her work has been published in many reviewed journals, books, and review articles and has been shared nationally at invited lectures and presentations.

Dr. Goldberg-Stein is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. She is also a member of numerous professional societies, including the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
