Specialties

Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging provides state-of-the art care for patients who are presenting with bone, joint and soft tissue conditions. Our board certified, fellowship-trained radiologists are experienced in interpreting studies from all modalities, including radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, ultrasound and fluoroscopy. The division offers numerous imaging-guided procedures, such as MRI or CT arthrography, image-guided pain injections, bone biopsies and soft tissue biopsies.

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging interacts regularly with a number of clinical services, including orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, endocrinology and the primary care services, and it works closely with dedicated bone pathologists.

Active Research Projects
  • Use of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in musculoskeletal disorders, such as soft tissue abscesses in diabetic patients
  • Assessment of the efficacy of cone-down, lower lumbosacral spine radiographs
  • Benign rib sclerosis mimicking Paget’s disease on chest radiographs
