The Department of Radiology has long-standing, productive collaborations with clinical and basic science departments. We provide imaging for National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded projects/centers and foundation- and industry-funded multicenter trials as well as smaller, locally sponsored research. We offer advice for navigating the entire process of designing research imaging protocols, from patient safety and protocol development to performing research-tailored imaging and giving research-focused analyses for images.
