Comprehensive Site Provides Easy Navigation and Access to Families and Medical Professionals

NEW YORK (January 06, 2016) – Recognizing the importance of having critical information at the fingertips of families and healthcare professionals, the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) today announced it has redesigned its CHAM.org website. Easy to navigate, even with a smart phone, the website is packed with visual features including new videos that take a “behind the scenes” look at the most innovative surgical and non-invasive care techniques all intended to educate, inform and reassure those looking for CHAM services.

CHAM.org also provides families quick search tools to find providers and specialties to best match each patient’s unique needs.

“As a premier, full service children’s hospital, we want our families, here in the Bronx and around the globe, to know about our research programs, be able to access the newest information about their condition and find out about new treatments and clinical trials for a wide range of acute and chronic diseases,” said Judy L. Aschner, M.D., physician-in-chief of CHAM and professor and Michael I. Cohen, M.D., University Chair of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. “We want our site to be a resource they visit often, even when their children are well, and use it as means to learn more about staying healthy and making wise choices about their family’s health and healthcare options.”

In addition to patient and family services and resources, the new CHAM.org includes details about interdisciplinary programs for healthcare professionals, staff and trainees. Website enhancements also include expanded residency and fellowship sections, research pages for each subspecialty, a quality improvements section and CHAM Connections, a blog featuring timely articles authored by providers, patient families and community partners.
