Solomon Rosenberg to Increase Awareness of Montefiore's Services

New York City, NY (April 4, 2011) - Solomon Rosenberg has been appointed Program Director at Montefiore Medical Center, to lead Jewish Orthodox community outreach efforts throughout the greater New York area, it was announced by Richard Celiberti, Senior Vice President of Network Development.

"Montefiore has a long history of service to the Jewish community," said Mr. Celiberti. "We believe that Mr. Rosenberg will help advance Montefiore's concern for the cultural and religious needs of our Jewish families and patients."

Mr. Rosenberg has been involved in community outreach and patient education throughout his career. Prior to joining Montefiore, he was Director of Public Relations & Outreach at Harmony Services Rehab Clinic in Brooklyn and also worked as a paramedic for Hatzalah Emergency Medical Services.

"People don't care about the distance-they just want excellent care," said Mr. Rosenberg. "Montefiore is the best kept secret in New York and I'm here to tell people that we're here to help them.

Montefiore has many amenities that cater to the Orthodox community. They include a Yehuda Memorial Center, a hospitality room for Jewish visitors and families, that provides a place for quiet contemplation, prayer and rest and offers a place to stay overnight during the Sabbath or a holiday. In addition, Montefiore offers Bikur Cholim services, Kosher food and medical team support groups.

"The compassion here is visible," he added. "It's at every level, from senior administration to staff. But you need to get in the door to experience it."
