This is a resident-organized conference with faculty facilitators based on The Surgical Council on Resident Education (SCORE) curriculum. SCORE is a consortium formed in 2006 by the principal organizations involved in United States surgical education. SCORE's mission is to improve the education of general surgery residents in the United States through the development of a standard national curriculum for general surgery residency training.

Masters of Surgery
These lectures will occur on the first Friday of every month. The lectures will offer practicing physicians and nurses current information on the latest topics and controversies in surgery.

MIMIS is an on-site, comprehensive, state-of-the-art minimally invasive training center that houses the latest technologies in both laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. A schedule of training sessions has been arranged to facilitate passing of the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) exam and the Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES) exam. These sessions are proctored by board-certified MIS physicians as well as a dedicated staff at MIMIS. Montefiore has been designated as a testing site for both FLS and FES.
