Research and Clinical Trials

Research scientists at the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, a partnership between Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, conduct a broad range of investigations which advance our understanding of epilepsy and other neurological disorders.  Whether it is basic science or clinical trials, the researchers at our center are busy collecting data and collaborating with other scientists from all around the world to bring our patients cutting-edge, state-of-the-art care and treatment options.  From bench to bedside, our investigative spectrum includes research that aims to better understand the role that genetics play in epilepsy, examines the pathophysiology of seizures and evaluates new treatments for patients with seizures.
