"Where We Stand" Is the Theme of Multimedia Outreach

New York City, NY (October 4, 2011) Today, Montefiore Medical Center launches a major advertising campaign which will focus heavily on television, radio, newspaper and magazine ads, as well as bus and subway promotions. The campaign, "Where We Stand" celebrates Montefiore as a "premier academic medical center that provides clinical excellence, innovation and compassionate patient care."

"It is time to tell the Montefiore story," said Steven M. Safyer, MD, President and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center. "The campaign is about where we stand among the leading academic medical centers in the country, as a proud member of the Bronx community for over a century and alongside our physicians, nurses and staff who deliver skilled, compassionate care. But most of all, we stand with our patients, who inspire us to heal, teach and discover, every single day."

A 30-second commercial will air on the NBC Television Network in the New York metropolitan area. It will appear during NBC's Today Show, The Tonight Show, news programming and throughout coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics. The ad was filmed over a four-day period last month, with shoots at Montefiore campuses, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and in the surrounding area. Because Montefiore increasingly serves the New York area, the commercial also contains scenes from across the city.

The commercial, scheduled to run through 2012, will be paired with NBC-produced vignettes focusing on Montefiore's advancements in medical technology. The series of healthcare information segments will be shot at Montefiore and allied with Montefiore's effort to build brand awareness and enhance visibility for Montefiore through advertising, as well as street banners and new signage at all campuses.

The print advertising will appear in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Westchester Journal News as well as local New York City newspapers including publications in the Bronx.

The campaign also includes a digital presence, in outlets such as The New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Medscape and medical journals including the New England Journal of Medicine.

Montefiore has assigned the creative ad campaign to Cronin and Company, LLC, a full-service marketing communications agency.
