REACT Program

It is estimated that 1 in every 450 adults is a childhood cancer survivor. While cure rates for children affected by cancer have increased dramatically over the past half century, many children suffer long-term side-effects from cancer and cancer treatment. CHAM’s Reassessment and Evaluation After Cancer Treatment (REACT) Clinic is a specialized program developed to improve long-term outcomes of children affected by cancer. The REACT program currently cares for over 200 childhood cancer survivors and is seeking to double this amount in the next 4 years. Funds raised for the REACT clinic will go towards survivorship programs aimed at improving the quality of life of childhood cancer survivors and their families. These programs include patient and family workshops covering wellness, nutrition, and career counseling, as well as programs to provide support for patients and families affected by mental health disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Thank you in advance for your interest in improving the lives of our survivors and providing them with a bright future.
