Dr. Arens established the Sleep Disorders Center at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, which is the first center in the New York metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to providing careful evaluation, monitoring and treatment of children with sleep issues. Dr. Arens diagnoses and treats children of all ages, from infants to adolescents and can speak to sleep-related problems such as SIDS, behavioral issues and school performance, obesity, sleep apnea, bet wetting, sleep walking, sleep terrors, delayed sleep phase syndrome, insomnia, narcolepsy and cataplexy. Dr. Arens and his team conduct overnight sleep studies at The Children Hospital’s state-of-the-art facility and focus on every aspect of care including physical, emotional and family life.
