Biography

Maryanne Y. Sourial, DO, is an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Montefiore-Einstein. She is also co-director for the Montefiore-Einstein Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease Program. Dr. Sourial’s clinical focus is in chronic kidney disease, end stage kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and metabolic bone disease.

In 2009, Dr. Sourial graduated from Purchase College-State University of New York with her Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology. She then pursued her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Rowan University, School of Osteopathic Medicine, earning the degree in 2014. For her postgraduate training, she continued at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine until 2017, earning her board certification in internal medicine. She then came to Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing a two-year fellowship in nephrology in 2019.

Dr. Sourial’s research focuses on peritoneal dialysis and metabolic bone disease. She has shared her findings through presentations, lectures and abstracts.

Dr. Sourial is board certified and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Osteopathic Association.
