Programs and Services

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health is comprised of six divisions:

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is based primarily at the Weiler Division of Montefiore and serves patients at sites in both the Bronx and Westchester. Faculty in Maternal Fetal Medicine receive additional specialized training in the complications of pregnancy and care for high risk mothers and babies before, during and after pregnancy.

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology has several Westchester locations in addition to its academic and practice offices in the Bronx on the Einstein campus. Reproductive Endocrinologists care for patients with problems of fertility, menopause and other hormone related conditions in women.

The Division of Reproductive Genetics works closely with their colleagues in women's health subspecialties as well as other pediatric and medical specialists. Seeing patients in the Bronx and Westchester, they work together with a team of genetic counselors. The division also operates a full service referral laboratory with state of the art equipment and cutting edge technologic advances in genetics.

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is renowned for its advances and successes in treating gynecologic cancers in women. Faculty in this division see patients in the Bronx and Westchester. They provide extensive diagnostic and treatment modalities for women. In addition, the division has experienced oncology nurses who assist in providing the latest in chemotherapy treatments.

The Division of Urogynecology/ Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery is based largely at the Moses Division. Physicians in this subspecialty have extensive experience in treating incontinence and other bladder and pelvic disorders. They have a state of the art diagnostic center conveniently located within the hospital setting.

The Division of Primary Care, otherwise known as the Generalists, is comprised of the Obstetricians and Gynecologists and midwives who see the majority of the women who seek care. They provide the full range of prenatal and delivery services, in addition to surgery, gynecology, well women visits and routine reproductive care concerns. The generalists see patients at multiple locations throughout the Bronx and Westchester.
