Program Requirements

Residents are required to be graduates of an accredited psychiatric residency training program, at least the PG 5 level and eligible for licensure in New York State. Application requirements include: merrill.rotter@omh.ny.gov

1. completion of the application form
2. three letters of recommendation
3. a Curriculum Vitae
4. Personal Statement about your interest in forensic fellowship, and
5. a clinical writing sample.

Program completion requires meeting the competency standards in each of the critical areas of forensic psychiatry. Competency standards and evaluation forms are distributed to fellows at the start of the fellowship year.
