The Program for Jewish Genetic Health

The Program for Jewish Genetic Health was established in 2010 with the mission of servicing the
Jewish community and listening to its genetic health needs. We provide:

Genetic Testing 
• Screening for diseases common to the Ashkenazi Jewish community, including pre-conception testing,
breast cancer and ovarian cancer screenings
• Tests for hereditary cancer syndromes, in group or one-on-one settings

Education
• Seminars within the community
• Free online educational tools through MyJewishGeneticHealth.com, complete with lessons on
Genetics 101, Mental Health, Aging, Jewish Medical Ethics and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

Resources 
• Access to renowned doctors and researchers through Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein
College of Medicine
• Significant online resources for individuals, families, rabbis, and referral information for those living
outside the New York metropolitan area
