Chan School of Public Health, Ian is developing the project "Building the Digital Phenotype of Recovery after Surgery: Harnessing smartphone data to improve patient quality of life following surgery" and completing an MPH in Quantitative Methods at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Sonia Voiculescu MD
As a T32 recipient under the tutelage of John Condeelis PhD (Professor and Chair, Department of Anatomy and Structural Biology) and David Entenberg MSc (Director of Technological Development in the Gruss Lipper Biophotonics Center) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Sonia's research has bridged surgery, engineering, and basic science to create a new technique for studying one of the most common metastatic sites, the lung. Together with her mentors, she invented a new imaging window for the murine lung which allows for the first time, direct visualization over multiple days of all stages of metastatic disease, including tumor cell arrival, extravasation, growth, progression to micro-metastasis, and reintravasation.
Kristen Wong MD
Kristen is researching the mutated, oncogenic pathways involved in thyroid cancer, and more specifically, she is testing a new, once a day, orally bioavailable drug that has promising growth inhibiting capabilities in anaplastic thyroid cancer cells. This is being performed with both in vitro and in vivo studies, and hopefully can be applied to many other cancers with similar driving mutations.

Jessica Pastoriza, MD
Jessica Pastoriza received a T32 training grant from 11/2015-6/2017. Under the mentorship of Dr. Maja Oktay, Dr. John Condeelis and David Entenberg, she developed novel multi-scale intravital imaging methods to investigate the effects of taxane based chemotherapeutics on the breast cancer microenvironment in living animals. She further correlated her laboratory work with clinical data and performed a retrospective chart review examining the distant recurrence free survival of breast cancer patients in the neoadjuvant versus adjuvant chemotherapy settings in a racially diverse population.
