Christine M. Kim, OD, is Director of Optometry and Assistant Professor, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Kim’s clinical focus is the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and glaucoma laser procedures, as well as cataract surgery, including premium intraocular lenses. She performs comprehensive eye exams, refractive surgery consults and refractions.
Dr. Kim attended the State of New York University (SUNY), first earning her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at SUNY at Albany in 1987, followed by her Doctor of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry in 1991.
Dr. Kim has an extensive background in specialty contact lens evaluation and fitting. She is experienced with the co-management of ocular surgeries including cataracts, trabeculectomy, penetrating keratoplasty, pterygium and refractive surgeries.
