Surgery at Montefiore

Surgery

The Department of Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center has an outstanding national reputation and long-established tradition of surgical excellence across a full spectrum of adult and pediatric surgical services. Some of the world's leading surgeons are performing the most delicate and complex surgeries with overwhelmingly positive outcomes.

Robert E. Michler, MD, Surgeon-in-Chief and Chairman of the Department of Surgery, has built on Montefiore's surgical history by assembling an unparalleled team of specialists. Together, they provide patients with the complete spectrum of innovative cancer treatments and minimally invasive surgical options. "The creation of new knowledge through innovative research, and the ability to share this with patients through clinical trials is the cornerstone of our surgical program," notes Dr. Michler.
