Comprehensive Family Care Center (CFCC)

Montefiore Medical Group (MMG) Comprehensive Family Care Center offers internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and various specialty services using community-based, academic and advanced medicine. Our teaching environment ensures that every patient receives outstanding care, typically by a team of two or more physicians.

For adult patients, the Center provides primary care delivered by physicans and residents, and specialty care, provided by attendings and fellows. These specialties include: allergy, Coumadin management, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, immunology, nephrology, ophthalmology (eye care), podiatry, psychiatry, pulmonary and rheumatology (joint care). We also offer chronic disease management programs.

Our obstetrics/gynecology team, consisting of physicians, midwives, fellows and residents, specialize in low- and high-risk obstetrics for complex pregnancies. This program includes patients with gestational diabetes, HIV-positive women and pregnant women requiring organ transplants. We sponsor the Centering Pregnancy program for low-risk pregnant women. Our team also provides routine and complex gynecological care including patient education sessions about preoperative care and medical procedures.

Our pediatrics program consists of a team of pediatricians, resident physicians and a nurse practitioner. Children may participate in a variety of programs, including Healthy Steps®, Reach Out and Read® and Low Birth Weight Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP). Additionally, we offer family immunology assessments, behavioral pediatrics, and infant and early childhood mental health services.

All patients, including children, adolescents and adults, have on-site access to mental health and social services, nutrition and health education services.

• Convenient hours and a 24-hour answering service
• Multilingual staff who speak fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindu, Italian and Chinese and who can accommodate any other language needs through an extensive translation service
• Referrals for home healthcare when necessary, as well as imaging and specialty referrals not provided on site.
