In Vitro Fertilization
The Montefiore Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health (MIRMH) has been a regional leader in the field of in vitro fertilization since 1986. We remain committed to offering quality care that draws on our many years of experience. Our affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and our involvement in ongoing research also ensures that we can offer high quality treatment in a relaxed environment. To find out if you are eligible for the New York Department of Health Infertility Demonstration Project, please call us at (914) 997-1060.
When conception is not achieved through other procedures, we counsel couples about the benefits of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Patients who choose IVF are given a complete explanation of the procedure. We then begin a process that involves non-surgical removal of eggs, which are fertilized in the lab and placed inside the uterus. With all necessary technologies located on site, we can offer our patients convenience as well as an experienced, caring staff to guide them through every step of the treatment.
In those cases where a more sophisticated technique is required, Montefiore has the expertise and technology to complete a variety of procedures related to in vitro fertilization, including:
We combine a thorough mastery of these technologies with the convenience of an on-site laboratory that is open seven days a week to perform related testing. Our patients can relax and focus on their health and emotional well-being while we draw on the latest advancements for their treatment.
Our affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers multiple benefits for our patients. Our infertility experts bring their excellent training in the latest advances in treatment to their work with patients. Our attending physicians are also involved in research protocols. Montefiore has been involved with a number of recent initiatives, including:
Our commitment to research provides us with a better understanding of why infertility occurs and how to best use available treatments. In a field where new technologies help more patients conceive than ever before, our place on the forefront of advancements enables us to continually expand the knowledge we draw on, with significant results.
