Conscientious care

When conception is not achieved through other procedures, we counsel couples about the benefits of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Patients who choose IVF are given a complete explanation of the procedure. We then begin a process that involves non-surgical removal of eggs, which are fertilized in the lab and placed inside the uterus. With all necessary technologies located on site, we can offer our patients convenience as well as an experienced, caring staff to guide them through every step of the treatment.

In those cases where a more sophisticated technique is required, Montefiore has the expertise and technology to complete a variety of procedures related to in vitro fertilization, including:

Artificial insemination through intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) or other techniques, which are particularly effective for low sperm counts
Artificial insemination including testicular sperm extraction (TESE), which supports conception even when there are very few sperm
Blastocyst transfer, which reduces the risk of multiple pregnancies
Donor eggs
Donor sperm
