Montefiore’s highly skilled and compassionate obstetric staff welcomes nearly 4,500 babies into the world each year. Our experienced multi-disciplinary teams, broad range of services and comfortable birthing facilities ensure that each mother and child enjoy exceptional care, with consideration for other family members too.
Montefiore’s five obstetric practices are staffed by physicians who also serve on the Albert Einstein College of Medicine teaching faculty. This educational environment promotes collaboration among doctors and produces the highest quality care. Our practices offer the expertise to meet a variety of patient needs and preferences, from our specialists in high-risk pregnancy and group prenatal care to our practice staffed entirely by women. Our multiple locations guarantee convenient care for patients in the New York metropolitan area and Westchester County.
Montefiore’s state-of-the-art birthing facilities offer the combined experience of a caring and highly skilled team, including:
These experts, along with our prenatal testing facilities, preconceptional counseling, neonatal intensive care unit and excellent outpatient services, ensure the health and comfort of mothers and babies during all stages of pregnancy and delivery.
Montefiore’s depth and breadth of expertise and advanced technology are recognized by our designation as a Regional Level 4 Perinatal Care Center, one of only 16 centers in New York State.
Montefiore is proud to lead the field in developing new methods to make medical records easily accessible to all doctors overseeing a patient’s treatment within the medical center. Electronic prenatal records allow obstetricians and other specialists to instantly access our patient's most up-to-date and thorough records at both the office and the hospital.
We take a family-centered approach that involves interested family members in all stages of prenatal care and childbirth. We conduct regular evaluations of our birthing facilities to ensure that patients enjoy modern, comfortable rooms. Mother and child often share a room, and the same skilled nurse is assigned to both, providing convenient, well-rounded and attentive care.
Montefiore’s commitment to compassionate, thorough obstetric care allows women to relax and focus on their new or growing family’s well-being, as well as their own.
