Participate in a Clinical Trial and Have Access to the Newest Cancer TreatmentsOur patients are given opportunities to participate in early-stage studies to determine if a new therapy effectively works for them. The trials are preceded by intensive and extensive laboratory research, and the potential benefits of participating in these clinical studies are numerous, including the opportunity for our patients to receive the latest treatments long before they are available anywhere else.
We have nearly 200 active clinical trials. Click here to view a number of studies for which we are currently recruiting.
At the Center for Cancer Care, an extraordinary team from among the nation’s most experienced physicians in the field work together to provide care, support and a customized treatment plan for each patient. The effectiveness of our treatments and therapies is significantly enhanced by the collaboration of specialists including surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and nurses. Working with our multidisciplinary teams are cancer support specialists, who offer patients and families valuable education and assistance in areas such as nutrition, genetics, rehabilitation and supportive counseling. They also coordinate convenient scheduling of appointments so patients can see multiple specialists during one visit, rather than several.
The Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care and our research partner, Albert Einstein Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center, have a shared belief in the power of research to improve technologies and therapies for our patients. Together, we perform clinical and translational research with the goal of converting new findings into treatments and therapies for our patients. In addition, we participate in a broad array of clinical trials to ensure that our patients have access to the newest technologies, techniques and medications available for cancer management.
