Welcome to the Department of Urology, the provider of Urologic Services to the Montefiore Medical Center and the academic home of Urology for The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Eighteen full-time faculty surgeons maintain active clinical practices offering the full range of sub-specialty care options to patients seeking treatment for diseases of the urinary tract. These include Minimally Invasive Robotic Cancer Care and cancer screening programs, Advanced Endoscopy for the treatment of urinary stone disease and structural abnormalities of the urinary tract, Prosthetics and Reconstruction for patients suffering from sexual dysfunction and voiding problems, a Pelvic Floor Center for patients with urogynecological concerns, and a Pediatric Urology Service solely dedicated to caring for children.

In addition to providing care to our patients, the faculty of The Department engages in basic and translational research including a clinical trials program for eligible individuals. We are dedicated teachers, training aspiring urologic surgeons in our 5 year Urology Residency Program. In addition, we offer fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery, robotics and endourology. Our diverse faculty is drawn from major academic centers around the globe.

We provide patient-centered care to hundreds of women each year affected by disorders of the pelvic floor. The Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Division has fellowship-trained surgeons from both gynecology and urology, and offers minimally invasive surgical options, offering care for a variety of pelvic floor disorders.

Our Urology Team

The Department of Urology at Montefiore has both general urologists and specialized physicians who can step in as needed to help diagnose and treat patients with more complex conditions. Patients are able to schedule an appointment with a generalist and, if necessary, get immediate and seamless access to a physician who deals with their specific condition.
