Important information for Montefiore medical residents of 1995, 1997 or 1999-2005

Status Update - October 10, 2011

Montefiore has filed the medical resident refund claims on behalf of itself and its consenting medical residents with the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") for all applicable years.  The IRS has finally begun reviewing the claims and requesting additional information. We anticipate the review and processing of these claims at the IRS may be lengthy. The IRS cannot provide us with a time frame of when these refunds will be issued.

We will try to provide updates as to the status of the claims on this website as we receive additional information from the IRS.  Please be sure to check the website occasionally to monitor the status and update us if your contact information changes.

We will also update the voicemail recording on the Montefiore FICA hot-line (877-800-1670) as we receive more information.
