Prosthetic and Orthotic(Bracing) Service

Prosthetic services are provided for patients with upper or lower limb amputations.  The team of providers includes physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists and prosthetists.  Prostheses are custom made for all amputees, from uncomplicated traumatic or vascular cases to the patients with bilateral amputations and/or multiple disabilities.  Prescription and training take into account a patient’s cardiopulmonary and vision status, any peripheral neuropathy and/or peripheral vascular disease.

We offer an orthotic (bracing) service for adult patients with central or peripheral nervous system disorders, as well as painful musculoskeletal disorders.  Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO) or Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) braces are prescribed based on in-depth biomechanical analysis of patients.

I love placing all my orders electronically. The computer gives me advice, and sometimes even catches my mistakes. It’s hard to remember what it was like to care for patients without the assistance of a computer. [more]
