Musculoskeletal Radiology
The ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Musculoskeletal Radiology concentrates on expanding the skills acquired during the fellow’s core radiology training. In-depth didactic training is provided in the areas of biomechanics and MR physics to build upon the fellow’s existing fund of knowledge. The heart of the fellowship training is the exposure to high volume, high quality training in the areas of sports imaging, joint arthroplasty, rheumatologic diseases, spine disease, and orthopaedic pathology.
The fellow functions as an integral part of the musculoskeletal radiology team and works closely with the clinical staff of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Oncology, Endocrinology and other clinical specialties. Strong emphasis is also placed on participation in clinical and basic science research. The fellows actively participate in the education of core residents in Radiology and other specialties along with the training of medical students from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The fellows are based at the Moses Division and spend twenty percent of their time at the Weiler Division.
