Collaborative Research
The DORE encourages all departments at MMC-AECOM to perform imaging research using the facilities of the Department of Radiology. Due to the volume of clinical studies at MMC, research time on the clinical imaging systems is limited. Nonetheless, the DORE is committed to maximizing availability of Radiology imaging systems for research, within clinical constraints. Priority is given to funded research.
Submission Requirements
All research must serve the mission of the DORE, be approved by the RRD committee and be oriented toward submission for funding.
-
The RRD committee must approve all research.
-
All research must be in collaboration with an MMC-AECOM Radiology staff member or trainee and support the mission of the DORE.
-
Research cannot commence until approved by the RRD committee: be sure to keep this in mind when applying for funding or IRB approval where the experiments require Radiology facilities. The DORE and the Department of Radiology WILL NOT be bound to accommodate research that has not been approved in advance by the RRD committee.
-
The research plan, abstract form, statement of collaboration and resource utilization form must be submitted by the deadline.
-
Following RRD committee approval, IRB approval must be obtained and a copy of the approval filed with the DORE administrative assistant prior to commencing research.
