Application Process
Internship Year 2009-2010
The Montefiore Medical Center Psychology Internship Program uses the APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI), which must be submitted in triplicate by November 15, 2008 (see details below).
- In a cover letter, applicants must state whether they are applying for the adult specialization or the child/adolescent specialization as these applications will be considered separately.
- After all applications have been reviewed, a number of candidates will be selected to come to Montefiore for interviews with members of our faculty.
- Applicants who are not selected for interviews will be notified before December 15, 2008.
Our program participates in the APPIC match, and all interviewed applicants will be ranked on separate lists for the adult specialization (Match #144312) or child/adolescent specialization (Match #144313). Applicants must use these match numbers to identify the specialization when they rank our program. This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
The complete application packet should include the following:
- A brief cover letter indicating the specialization to which you are applying: adult or child/adolescent.
- The APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI) in triplicate. (The AAPI can be found online at www.appic.org)
- A current curriculum vitae, in triplicate.
- Three letters of recommendation (one copy of each).
- Official graduate school transcript (one copy).
- AAPI Part 2 from Director of Training (one copy).
All of the above information should be addressed directly to:
