Application Process
Internship Year 2010-2011
The Montefiore Medical Center Psychology Internship Program uses the ONLINE APPIC Application for Psychology Internship ("AAPI Online"), which must be submitted by November 1, 2009.
- The AAPI Online may be accessed at www.appic.org. Click on "AAPI Online".
- In the cover letter, applicants must state whether they are applying for the adult specialization or the child/adolescent specialization as these applications will be considered separately.
- After all applications have been reviewed, a number of candidates will be selected to come to Montefiore for interviews with members of our faculty.
- Applicants who are not selected for interviews will be notified before December 15, 2009.
The complete AAPI Online application packet should include the following:
- A brief cover letter indicating the specialization to which you are applying: adult or child/adolescent
- A current curriculum vitae
- Application
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official graduate school transcript(s)
*All materials are to be submitted online. Printed application materials will not be accepted.
Our internship program participates in the APPIC Match, and all interviewed applicants will be ranked on separate lists for the adult specialization (Match #144312) or child/adolescent specialization (Match #144313). Applicants must use these match numbers to identify the specialization when they rank our program. This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
