Residency

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is responsible for the training of eight residents at six affiliated institutions of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  This excellent program is well-known and consequently draws a huge number of applicants.  

We choose our residents with five years of previous training in general surgery (or the equivalent).  Many of them are either Board certified or Board eligible in general surgery when they come into the plastic surgery residency training program.
