Our Physicians
Jonathan Jay Beitler, MD, is the deputy chairman for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Montefiore and an associate professor of Otolaryngology and Radiation Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Beitler received his medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University School of Business. He began his medical career as a resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Beitler is an accomplished medical speaker, medical journal editor and author of numerous articles and abstracts. He is considered one of Montefiore’s leading medical instructors.
Missak Haigentz, Jr., MD, is an admitting physician with the Department of Oncology at Montefiore and an instructor of Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Haigentz holds a medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he also obtained a residency in Internal Medicine and served as chief medical resident for the Department of Medicine. Dr. Haigentz recently completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology from New York University Medical Center. He holds a long list of distinguished honors, most recently including a Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
