Our Physicians
Gary L. Goldberg, MD, is vice chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health at Montefiore and director of the Division of Gynecology Oncology. He also serves as professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Goldberg began his medical career in South Africa where he received his degree and later completed his residency at the University of Cape Town Medical School. He has served as a fellow for Groote Schuur Hospital and University of Cape Town as well as Queens Charlotte Hospital in London.
Dr. Goldberg is an investigator of funded medical studies for the National Cancer Institute, the New York Gynecologic Oncology Group and several pharmaceutical companies. He is also a journal reviewer, author and world-renowned lecturer.
Abbie L. Fields, MD, is an associate professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
After receiving her medical degree from Ohio State University, Dr. Fields completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University and a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Fields currently serves as principal investigator for several ongoing clinical studies and trials in the field of Gynecologic Oncology and is a member of various research committees for Albert Einstein. She is an accomplished lecturer and editor for many medical journals and has an extensive list of published articles to her credit.
Patrick S. Anderson, MD, is an attending physician in Montefiore’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health and an assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
After receiving his degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Anderson began his residency with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Montefiore and later completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology.
Dr. Anderson has conducted extensive research on various ovarian and cervical cancers. Among his many accomplishments, he was recognized with the American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Fellowship Award and the National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
