Michael Bebbington, MD is a graduate of McMaster University in Canada were he also received his MD degree and completed his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Bebbington completed a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is an Associate Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bebbington is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Peter Bernstein, MD, MPH is a graduate of Yale University and received his MD degree at Yale University School of Medicine. He received his MPH degree from Columbia University, School of Public Health. Dr. Bernstein completed his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine and his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is an Associate Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bernstein is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Cynthia Chazotte, MD currently serves as the Director of Obstetrics and Perinatology at the Weiler Hospital. Graduate of Marymount College and received her MD degree from New York Medical College. For the past 18 years, she has been affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed both her residency and fellowship in the Department. She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is a Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Garfield Clunie, MD graduated from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1996. He did his residency in OBSGYN at NYU Downtown Hospital. He completed his residency training in June 2000. Dr .Clunie went on to Tufts New England Medical Center where he completed a fellowship training in maternal fetal medicine in June 2003.
Margaret Comerford Freda, EdD, RN, CHES, FAAN is a registered nurse who received her Masters Degree in Nursing from New York University, and her doctorate in health education from Columbia University. Dr. Freda is a certified health education specialist, and has done multiple research projects concerning health education in pregnancy and in other stages of women’s lives, having published over 40 articles in the professional journals. She was the Director of Education for the Bronx-wide PROPP program (Program to Reduce Obstetrical Problems and Prematurity), and currently serves as the Director of Patient Education for the department. Dr. Freda is also the editor of the professional nursing journal MCN, The American Journal of Maternal Child Nursing.
Karla Damus, Ph.D., RN received her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of California at Berkeley, and has extensive experience in biostatistics and research grants. Dr. Damus has frequently been a member of review panels for the National Institutes of Health, and was the developer of the Perinatal Data Center for the national March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation. Dr. Damus has also been the Director of the RESPECT program in the Bronx, a funded research program that has educated thousands of adolescents in the Bronx about prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Dr. Damus works both in our department and at the national office of the March of Dimes in the Office of the Medical Director.
Ashlesha Dayal, MD is a graduate of Boston University and received her MD degree at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Dayal completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and completed a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Dayal in Board Certified in in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obsterics & Gynecology.
Ellen Harrison, MD is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Harrison received her MD degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Harrison is board-certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and Critical Care. Dr. Harrison has experience in the management of medical complications of pregnancy. She holds two academic appointments at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Cassandra Henderson, MD is a graduate of Trinity College and received her MD degree at Loyola University. She completed her residency training at University of Chicago and her fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and also board certified in her subspecialty, Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Henderson is an Associate Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Nancy Kirshenbaum, MD is a graduate of Cornell University and received her MD degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Kirshenbaum completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology and a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at New York University Medical Center. She is an Associate Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kirshenbaum is Board Certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Landsberger completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York University Bellevue Hospital Center and completed a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Landsberger is an Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is Board Certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Irwin R. Merkatz, MD is a graduate of Cornell University and received his MD degree at Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the New York Lying-In Hospital. Dr. Merkatz is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and his subspecialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Merkatz is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
