Programs and Services

The Department of Nuclear Medicine offers services at three different locations in the Bronx providing convenience and comfort in modern facilities with state of the art equipment.  In fact, we provide one of the highest technical levels of Nuclear Outpatient work in the New York area.

Weiler/Einstein Hospital

There are approximately 400 beds in the Albert Einstein Hospital which is located near the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. A division of Montefiore Medical Center, it is both a community hospital and tertiary referral center for the Bronx, Queens and Westchester Counties. The Department of Nuclear Medicine occupies over 5,000 square feet, offering staff and patients ideal space and resources.

The Moses Division of the Montefiore Medical Center (approximately 800 beds) is the major voluntary teaching hospital affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. It serves as both a community hospital, providing primary care to the residents of the local community through various ambulatory care facilities, and as a tertiary care center for large numbers of referred patients. The Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Moses Division's modern facility of over 10,000 square feet provides for a large working area and major new equipment acquisitions.

This facility  performs outpatient nuclear medicine procedures including Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) scans. Located near the Weiler/Einstein Hospital Division of Montefiore Medical Center, the facility provides a convenient and comfortable atmosphere for outpatients. Our PET/CT scanner and state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine equipment provide one of the highest technical levels of Nuclear Outpatient work in the New York area.
