The plastic surgery program at Montefiore currently offers two residency training pathways that have separate application procedures.
Combined Surgery/Plastic Surgery Program

The program will match two residents for the combined surgery/plastic surgery program to begin in July, 2013.
The combined pathway consists of three years of general surgery followed by three years of plastic surgery training at Montefiore Medical Center. Medical students interested in the combined pathway should apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service only. Please note that medical students must first register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
The faculty will review the completed applications during the last two weeks of October. Applicants who are invited to interview, will be notified in early November for the two available interview dates in early December. Apply online to the Combined Surgery/Plastic Surgery Program through ERAS.
Albert Einstein/Montefiore: #3741
The program will match two residents for the advanced three-year independent program to begin in July, 2015.
Minimum preparatory requirements for applicants admitted to the independent program must have completed their full five-year general surgery requirements and are Board certified or eligible in general surgery. Other acceptable previous training programs include those in otolaryngology and orthopaedic surgery. Residents should apply via the advanced plastic surgery match sponsored by the San Francisco matching program.
The faculty will review the completed applications during the first two weeks in November. Applicants who are invited to interview will be notified by mid-November for interview dates in January/February. Apply online to the Independent Plastic Surgery Program through SF Match.
